Are you frustrated about not being able to assume a Project Manager role in your current company and you’re ready to establish some real PM experience?  If you’ve spent the last 3–5+ years at a large, national mechanical firm, we’re interested in giving you a chance at taking the next step in your career. If you’re confident in your logistics skills and have a good understanding of complex hydronic and air-side packages, and you’re looking for a place where you can truly own a project from start to finish as a core member of an established team, now is the time for your ascension.

ATMAC Mechanical (established in1953) is looking for a seasoned Assistant Project Manager ready to transition into an Entry-Level PM role.

We value transparency and the "Service at Work" mindset.

We are an established DFW firm currently managing a diverse portfolio, from $200k specialty builds to $10M complex mechanical systems.

The Opportunity:

  • True Project Ownership: Move beyond "assisting" and take full responsibility for project lifecycles, including stabilizing and delivering critical HVAC builds.
  • Competitive Base Salary: We are offering a strong starting range of $85,000 – $90,000 to ensure you have the stability to focus on high-quality execution.
  • Direct Mentorship: Work directly with a Division Head who understands the "Big Firm" background and is focused on building a sustainable, high-performing team.

What you bring:

  • 3–5+ Years of APM Experience: You’ve cut your teeth at a Tier-1 mechanical contractor and understand the "water and air" side of construction.
  • Problem-Solving Grit: You aren't afraid to step into a project mid-stream, identify the gaps, and get it back on track.
  • The "Service at Work" Mindset: You value stability, professional honesty, and becoming a valuable team member before chasing the next promotion.
