We’re seeking a talented Project Assistant, who will provide essential administrative services to support housing stability programs, projects, and daily operations. They will support the Director with programs that create and preserve affordable housing, support homeowners and renters, and develop city-owned property.

  • Type: 6 months contract (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate information to clients via phone, email, in-person visits, and workshops with the highest level of customer service.
  • Support outreach efforts, including one-on-one counseling, advertisements, and email blasts.
  • Organize and prepare bulk mailings and marketing materials.
  • Provide direct administrative support to staff regarding programs, contracts, and specific projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), service orders, contracts, invoices, and payments.
  • Coordinate with other units to ensure consistent telephone coverage and operational support.
  • Prepare and track enrollment and commitment forms through Administration and Finance.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain both electronic and hard-copy files.
  • Track and report on program budgets, production, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct research and prepare detailed reports and presentations as requested.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) administrative experience.
  • Appropriate educational substitutions may be made.
  • Experience in public administration, housing, program management, or real estate is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel), Salesforce, and Google Suite. (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of desktop, mobile, and web-based platforms is preferred.
  • Bilingual Communication skills (Required).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to attend to detail and manage special projects of moderate complexity with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a Boston Resident.(e.g., Boston, Roxbury, West Roxbury, Mattapan, Dorchester).
