Job Title: Apprentice Electrician

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to install rigid conduit with hand benders,
  • Wire up simple motor controls (i.e. stop/start),
  • Find circuit and other information on blueprints,
  • Rig and pull wire up to 4/0 MCM,
  • Installation of all conduit systems up to 2",
  • Understand and be able to explain AC wave form,
  • Hook-up single phase and 3 phase loads properly,
  • Basic knowledge of overcurrent protection,
  • Read blueprint elevations and details meaningfully,
  • Have a basic familiarity with transformers.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 1 year or more work experience as a licensed Utah apprentice
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age to start work
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to successfully complete drug screen
