A Roofer is responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing commercial roofs. The Roofer is responsible for installing all types of roofing systems on commercial buildings including TPO, PVC, and more. The qualified candidate works in conjunction with the foreman and superintendent to ensure the job is done properly and on time. This person will demonstrate product knowledge, safety knowledge, and attention to detail.

Direct Supervisor: Foreman 

 

Duties Include but are Not Limited To:  

 

  • Install various types of systems on new buildings and re-roofs, such as, TPO, and PVC according to manufacturer specifications. 
  • Perform assigned tasks with extreme attention to detail.  
  • Perform work in accordance with job plans, and company safety guidelines. 
  • Maintain work area to prevent possible hazards.  
  • Follows work orders from management to produce timeliness of jobs being completed.  
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic. 
  • Performs a variety of other job duties assigned as needed. 
  • Identify potential safety hazards, and communicate them with upper management. 
  • Deliver excellent customer service on all projects.  

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 2 years in the commercial roofing industry. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA Safety and Guidelines. 
  • Bend, kneel, and lift 50+ pounds. 
  • Ability to climb ladders. 
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment. 
  • No fear of heights. 

 

Preferred: 

 

  • OSHA 10/30 Certification 
  • Fall Protection Certification 

 

Work Environment: 

This job operates in the office as well as outdoor environmental conditions, heights, and various temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time non exempt position.  Typical standard operating hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Travel is required for this position
