COMPENSATION
Hourly Rate: Starting at $28 DOE
SUMMARY
Summit Materials is looking for qualified and experienced CDL Drivers to operate either Strong Arm, Truck & Pup or Belly Dump Trucks, to deliver construction materials to various commercial and residential work sites. The ideal candidates will be reliable, and safety oriented with the ability to operate a manual/straight drive truck.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Maintaining safe and legal operations of company vehicles at all times
• Obeying posted speed limits and weight limits
• Working closely with the construction team to ensure timely deliveries of materials
• Maintaining good communications skills when dealing with internal and external
teams
• Following safety procedures and complying with all Federal, State, and company
policies
• Practicing good housekeeping and maintaining the appearance of trucks inside and
out
• Performing other duties as required to maintain an overall smooth and efficient
operation, or as requested or directed from time to time by the leadership team.
Skills & Experience
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License [CDL] required
• Possess and maintain a company approved motor vehicle record [MVR]
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission
• Ability to work seasonal overtime as needed
• Ability to work and contribute to both an independent and team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate information one on one and small group situations
with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral
instruction
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos
• Ability to fill out log books, timecards and DVIR’s (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports)
• Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide using whole numbers
