Job Summary: CL Construction is seeking a dynamic and motivated Intern to join our Concrete Project Management Team. This position will work closely with the Concrete Division Director, Project Managers and other key members on the team to help develop Tools for Project and Resource Management and Scheduling. This position will have the opportunity to learn highly transferrable skills while making a significant positive impact on the business.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Concrete Director, Project Managers and General Superintendent to understand current state of processes and tools for Project Management, Resource Scheduling, and Quoting
• Develop project scopes and plans for automation and tool development for improvements in these areas including proof of concept, testing and final validation and deployment.
• Execute improvement projects.
• Create necessary work instructions, std work and code annotation for the utilization as well as maintenance of tools.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Agricultural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Experience in programming logic (VBA, Java, Python, etc) preferred.
• General knowledge of database structure, queries, and reporting writing preferred
• Must be able to be self directed and a self starter with a high level of ownership for completing tasks and projects
• Desire and willingness to learn and grow.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Strong Proficiency in computer functions, MS Office tools (Excel), and general technology.
• Must have strong organizational and time & task management skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
