Electrical Panel Builder
PURPOSE:
Eugene/Springfield industrial electrical contractor has an immediate opening for an Electrical Panel Builder to build large electrical control panels for industrial purposes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of all types of hand tools
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
- Ability to take measurements and perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to keep work area clean and organized
- Problem solving skills
- Proven accuracy in assembly
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to work independently. Must demonstrate personal initiative, motivation
- Reliable and punctual
- Good work ethic and positive attitude
- Basic computer knowledge
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Planning/organizational skills to assists in planning upcoming projects
- Uses time efficiently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires visual acuity, the ability to communicate in person and over the phone, and manual dexterity. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, climb, pull, lift and carry (up to 50 lbs.).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electrical Theory/Electrical Experience
- Prior experience in assembling electrical control panels in a UL-508 panel shop a plus
- Experience with lighting, j-boxes, consoles, power panels, outlets, switches, transformers and motors a plus
ENVIRONMENT:
Performances of duties are mostly in our panel shop and/or office environment. Normal operating hours are between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, including a lunch time.
Must be available to work long shifts, weekends, and overtime.
