Electrical Panel Builder

PURPOSE:

Eugene/Springfield industrial electrical contractor has an immediate opening for an Electrical Panel Builder to build large electrical control panels for industrial purposes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of all types of hand tools
  • Ability to read drawings and schematics
  • Ability to take measurements and perform basic mathematical functions
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven accuracy in assembly
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to work independently. Must demonstrate personal initiative, motivation
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Planning/organizational skills to assists in planning upcoming projects
  • Uses time efficiently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires visual acuity, the ability to communicate in person and over the phone, and manual dexterity. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, climb, pull, lift and carry (up to 50 lbs.).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical Theory/Electrical Experience
  • Prior experience in assembling electrical control panels in a UL-508 panel shop a plus
  • Experience with lighting, j-boxes, consoles, power panels, outlets, switches, transformers and motors a plus

ENVIRONMENT:

Performances of duties are mostly in our panel shop and/or office environment. Normal operating hours are between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, including a lunch time.

Must be available to work long shifts, weekends, and overtime.
