Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Job Position Description:

Responsible for designing, cutting and shaping metal to repair existing equipment and fabricating new equipment.  There is something new every day. In this position you will have the opportunity to repair equipment in our shop as well as travel to different quarry locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repair existing equipment and fabricating new, including hard surfacing wear items.
  • Weld components using a variety of processes including TIG, MIG and ARC, Plasma cutter, Oxy acetylene torch.
  • Work safely with adherence to Wendling Quarries safety policy.
  • Ensure that the supply of consumables ( i.e. gas, welding wire etc.) does not run out.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to get CDL- Class A (WQI will help)
  • Familiarity with Stick welding, Flux core wire welding, ARC gouging, Plasma cutter and Oxy acetylene torch
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications

Hours & Compensation:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Approximately 50 hours/week
