Service Crew Superintendent
Pay Scale: Open
Reports to: Operations Manager and Project Manager Reported to by all other members of crew.
A Service Crew Superintendent is one of the company's authoritative representatives in the field. He is responsible for all actions of the crew while on the job site, at hotels, or in company vehicles. Along with promoting a professional and positive image for the company, the Service Crew Superintendent also has the following duties:
-Must understand all aspects of the type of job he oversees which includes: managing materials and personnel to ensure that roofing components are installed properly and within guidelines of specifications
and estimate taking accurate measurements for fabrication of all pertinent sheet metal components
-Be skillful with the installation of various types of roofing materials including built up, coal tar, modified bitumen, sheet metal, single ply, elastomeric coatings, and shingles
-Thoroughly investigating and determining sources of water entry into a roof system determining and installing the most effective repair techniques and materials to stop active leaks
-Review and understand drawings and specifications of each job prior to start organize all materials and labor necessary to complete job as specified and estimated
-Implement and maintain all safety practices as outlined in company policy, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, fall protection, ladder safety, etc...
-Maintain necessary material inventory counts on job and huck so that plenty of time is given in the case that more materials need to be ordered
-Maintain all tools and equipment and report back immediately to warehouse manager when tools need to be serviced
-Must report all accidents daily and fill out appropriate forms
-Must issue written warnings when necessary or directed by management to do so
