Job Description -
Driller / Operator
- $32.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on applicable skillset and experience
- Hourly (Non-Exempt)/At-Will
Essential Functions:
- Able to manage and direct the daily activities of the drill/rig crew.
- Inspect drill unit for all safety/regulatory requirements.
- Performs maintenance to the machine.
- Load and unload the drill rig to the site.
- Document drilling tasks and reports.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years construction/drilling experience
Knowledge & Abilities:
- Read and understand drawings and diagrams.
- Use construction equipment, power tools, machines, and drilling equipment.
- Work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Understanding of different drilling techniques and soil conditions.
- Work in compliance with OSHA and other company safety requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk, step, climb, reach high and low, kneel, bending.
- Observe worksite environment and equipment operations.
- Complete repetitive movements.
- Lift up to and carry fifty (50) lb. objects as required.
- Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments as required.
Education, Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid CDL driver’s license preferred
- OSHA 10 training certificate
- Experience with different drilling techniques, including caisson drilling preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
