NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services, an industry leader in the installation & service of mechanical & electrical systems, is hiring for a Service Sales Account Manager for our growing business in the Mankato and Southern Minnesota area.

Responsibilities of Service Sales Account Manager:

Manage the sales process to advance each of our client’s operational and environmental objectives, needs and requirements.  Primary focus would be to service our existing owner direct market and the systems and offerings that NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services provides.  Seeks out, targets and initiates contact with multiple prospective customers.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Sells, with minimal supervision, the NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services offerings persuasively, persistently and confidently to building owners at the D-level while reaching optimal profit levels. Focuses on improving the existing building to allow the building owner to achieve business objectives.  Manages multiple, ongoing, opportunities particularly focusing on selling services and retrofits.  Sells, renews and expands renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing customer.
  • Builds partnering relationships with the owner or owner representatives responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sale of NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services offerings. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands the customer's business and speaks their language. Demonstrates technical expertise and maintains a high level of credibility.
  • Seeks out, targets and initiates contact with multiple prospective customers. Understands and leverages the sales process outcomes as well as demonstrates evidence of gaining small trial closes. Qualifies and assesses potential customers. Refers and develops leads to support our other business segments.
  • Addresses customer's operational and environmental objectives, needs and requirements. Recommends solutions and links customer objectives to total value solution and a competitive advantage.  Differentiates NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services offerings and products from competitors.
  • Positively and credibly influences service strategies with owners. Frequently creates competitive, high quality and timely estimates, proposals, and cost/benefit analysis. Effectively writes and presents proposals.  Negotiates value, addresses resistance and closes the sale. Differentiates NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services as a total building environment supplier.
  • Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity in accounts. Leverages NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services sales process to close sales quickly.
  • Works with the sales team to develop, build and foster team relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. Solicits support from and communicates effectively with internal staff.  Develops relationships with multiple teams within NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services to exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Acts as the customer’s advocate in interactions with NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services to ensure the customer obtains the best value from NAC Mechanical & Electrical Services offerings.
  • Updates management weekly of progress and account status.

Knowledge, Skills and Education Qualifications: Technical Skills and Education:

  • Field or project management experience with HVAC systems with an understanding of the local market.
  • At least three years successfully selling HVAC or building automation systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline is a plus but not required.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive field sales experience is a plus but not required.
