POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assuring dependable and timely scheduled transportation services with Resident safety and experience the primary priorities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Confirm transportation schedule as designated by the Life Enrichment Director, to include date, time, type, locations, and directions.
  2. Transport Residents to and from activities/errands in safe, organized, and responsible fashion.
  3. Maintain good communication with Life Enrichment associates regarding schedule, time off, Resident relations, and condition of vehicle.
  4. Communicate with Residents at least 24 hours prior to departure to clarify times and route.
  5. Maintain company owned vehicles to keep them in safe, and efficient working order. Inform Life Enrichment Director of any maintenance issues concerning the vehicles.
  6. Maintain vehicle interior in clean orderly fashion during and following usage.
  7. Fuel vehicle as needed and provide gas receipts to the Life Enrichment Director or appropriate associate for processing.
  8. Coordinate activities with other departments as needed.
  9. Assist the Life Enrichment Partner and assist with other Resident-related, clerical, and inventory duties within scope of qualifications and training as directed.
  10. Follow community policies and procedures to include emergency, fire and disaster plans.
  11. Remain flexible for unscheduled emergency transportation.
  12. Assist the Life Enrichment Partner with resident activities as requested.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
  2. Keeps all information confidential.
  3. Maintains acceptable attendance record/follows work schedule.
  4. Displays cleanliness, good grooming, personal appearance and follows dress requirements consistently.
  5. Organizes and utilizes time appropriately toward accomplishing assigned tasks; requires minimal supervision.
  6. Interacts in professional manner with Residents, public and co-workers. Works cooperatively with management. Displays willingness to assist co-workers when situation requires.
  7. Adequate and clear English speaking and writing ability; able to communicate effectively.
  8. Ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly.
  9. Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
  10. Ability/willingness to follow all policies and procedures.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

WA Drivers License with clean driving record required.

Current HCA and/or CNA preferred. Will train and assist with certification for the right candidate.

One (1) year of experience in working with older adults preferred.

Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Maintain applicable license(s) to perform job, as required by state.
