Job Summary

To support the branch operations in attaining profitability, productivity, and safety goals by rigging to safety standards on Spider rentals and performing maintenance and repairs of Spider rental  equipment and accessories.

Essential Functions

  • Perform rigging and de-rigging services of suspended swing stage scaffolding equipment in accordance with Spider and SIA safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot, teardown, repair, reassemble, test and perform maintenance on Spider standard equipment and accessories with direction and oversight.
  • Perform complete safety inspections in accordance with the Rental Fleet Inspection Manual.
  • Follows company policies and procedures to ensure that all work related rigging records/documentation are accurate, updated in a timely manner, and conform to company standards.
  • Follows procedure to ensure that all work and related records conform to company manuals and instructions.
  • Assist in the demonstrations of Spider products to customers including the correct use of safety equipment, correct safe rigging procedures, correct operating methods, required safety checks and emergency recovery procedures.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient work place with accurate and up to date records.
  • Drive commercial vehicles to and from job sites.

Job Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Competent Person Training (CPT)
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record
  • Training in hoist repair

Experience

  • Previous swing stage rigging experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of previous construction experience
  • At least one year of work related experience repairing, troubleshooting and testing hoist motors.

Skills

  • Able to work in construction areas at high elevation without fear of heights.
  • Able to lift & carry 50+lbs for extended periods of time.
  • Strong electrical/mechanical skills
