The Sweeper Driver-Operator is responsible for maintaining Fiore's job sites and surrounding streets or facilities clean from mud, debris or other contaminants. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as required to accommodate customer and project demands.
$40,000 - $65,000
  • Perform daily pre/post trip equipment inspections and fluid services or minor maintenance adjustments or repairs to ensure safe operation of sweeping equipment.
  • Fill water tank(s) using fire hydrant and water meter and operate sweeper controls to activate rotary brushes and water spray system to facilitate debris and dust collection.
  • Safely operates sweeper to clean construction sites, streets, and gutters being aware of near by heavy construction equipment, vehicle traffic, and pedestrians.
  • Responsible for trash disposal and equipment cleaning in accordance to state and city ordinances.
  • Report all incidents or accidents involving driver, company equipment, and/or private property.     
  • Applicant must be at least 21 Years of age.
  • Maintain valid Class B CDL Driver License and good motor vehicle record (MVR) to maintain insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to pass and maintain DOT FMCSA requirements in regards to pre/post-employment drug screening and DOT physical.
  • Attentive to detail to meet project and job site cleaning expectations.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, vendors, and employees
  • Willing to occasionally work nights, weekends and/or holidays depending on project demands.
  • Required: At minimum a high school diploma with 1 year of proven sweeper driver-operator experience.
  • Preferred: 2 plus years of proven sweeper driver-operator experience with other heavy construction equipment operating experience.
This job has no supervisory duties.
This position requires the ability to communicate in English with co-workers, customers and the general public.
This job requires the ability to do and understand basic math equations. 
Primary functions require the physical ability and mobility to repeatedly kneel, crawl, push, pull and climb to and from sweeper as required by task. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the course of work shift. Able to use a broom or shovel to clean sweeper residual material.
Outside work exposed to variant weather conditions (hot, rain, snow) and ability to sit for a long periods of time.
